As we get older, staying fit can become more challenging due to natural changes in our bodies. But don’t worry, it’s not impossible! If you’re over 40, try these specially designed exercises that can yield incredible results.
SWISS BALL SQUAT
This exercise requires a swiss ball. Begin by holding the ball above your head with your back straight and feet apart. Slowly lower yourself into a squat position as if sitting on an invisible chair. Hold for a few seconds before returning to the starting position. Repeat the exercise for 10 reps, take a short break, then repeat the set one more time.
BRIDGE WITH A SWISS BALL
Lie on your back with your feet on a Swiss ball. Raise your back and engage your core muscles. Push your body upward as high as possible, then return to the starting position. Repeat this exercise 15 times.
EXERCISE BALL BACK EXTENSION
Here’s a possible rephrased version: “Place your feet on the ground and lie on a Swiss ball with your arms by your sides. Lift your upper body to create a straight line with the rest of your body. Maintain the position for a few seconds before returning to the starting point. Complete this exercise ten times.
IN AND OUT SQUATS
Perform a basic squat, but alternate spreading your feet with each jump. Complete the exercise 20 times.
Begin in a standing position with your arms and legs close to each other and your spine erect. Jump up while simultaneously lifting your arms overhead and spreading your legs apart. Repeat this movement for several repetitions.
