It takes its name from its inventor, Izumi Tabata, and is one of the most effective methods for training the whole body : the Tabata routine is certainly the ideal solution for those who want to train the whole body in the shortest possible time.
The Tabata method is based on scientific results which have shown that a short but high intensity workout can give even more effective results than classic training routines.
An example of a Tabata routine consists of performing 8 exercises for 20 seconds , with 10 second rest intervals: the total time will be 4 minutes.
In other words, according to this method you must perform exercises at maximum intensity for 20 seconds, rest for 10 seconds between one exercise and another, until you complete all 8 exercises listed below.
1. Jumping lunges
2. Back lunges
3. Push-ups
4. Raises from knees to elbows
5. Side lunges
6. Bowing lunge
7. Boxing
8. Lunge with rotation
Remember to do a little warm-up before doing the workout and do it at least 4 times a week.
